InkySites vs managed WordPress hosting

Managed WordPress hosts like Kinsta, WP Engine, and Cloudways are excellent at giving you a fast, well-run server. But building, updating and maintaining your site on top is still on you: you (or an agency or developer you pay) run WordPress, keep its plugins patched, and make every change. InkySites hands you your finished site and makes your changes for you, on its own cloud-grade hosting, with no WordPress to maintain. They sell you a place to run your site. We run your site.

  InkySites Managed WordPress hosting
What you're buying Your site, finished, hosted and maintained. A server to run WordPress on.
Who builds your site We do, and a person on our team looks it over before it reaches you. You, your agency, or a developer.
Who makes ongoing changes We do. Write what you want in your dashboard in your own words, tap the thing you mean on your own site, or ask for changes on WhatsApp. Your evening stays yours, because you never open an editor or learn a tool you'd use twice a year. Most changes are live within the hour. All within 48. They host your site. You make the changes in WordPress yourself, or pay someone to.
WordPress to maintain None. Yours is a static site. Yes. Core, theme and plugin updates are yours.
Monthly cost $29 a month, paid month to month: design, hosting and changes. Kinsta and WP Engine from $35 a month, paid month to month; Cloudways from $11, billed by the hour. Hosting only.
Hosting Included, on Google Cloud. That's the product.
Security model Static pages, with no plugins or database to hack. A managed firewall, but WordPress and its plugins are still what an attacker aims at.
Leave with your site Files any time; you own the code. Yes. It's your WordPress site.

Prices were read from each host's own pricing page on 19 October 2026: Kinsta, WP Engine and Cloudways. Kinsta and WP Engine show a lower monthly rate for paying a year up front; the figures here are their month-to-month prices. Cloudways bills by the hour and invoices monthly, and $11 is its smallest Standard server on DigitalOcean. All three are hosting only, and exclude the cost of building and maintaining your WordPress site itself. InkySites's "most within the hour, all within 48" is our normal turnaround, not a contractual SLA. See how the whole done-for-you category prices up.

Who each one is right for.

Choose managed WordPress hosting if

You want to own and operate your own WordPress site, and you have an agency, a developer, or the time and skills to run it. The plugin ecosystem and full control of the stack matter to you, and keeping WordPress and its plugins updated is a job you're happy to own or pay for. If your site is on WordPress today, read what to do about PHP2Shell, the PHP flaw fixed on 21 October 2026.

Choose InkySites if

You have a small-business site and you'd rather not run WordPress at all. You want it redesigned, hosted on cloud-grade infrastructure, and changed for you whenever you ask, within reason, for one flat price, with nothing to maintain and no editor to learn.

Questions people ask.

Isn't managed WordPress hosting more powerful than InkySites?

As a server, yes. Kinsta and WP Engine are excellent infrastructure. But that power exists to run WordPress yourself. If you don't want to run WordPress, it's capability you pay for and still have to operate. InkySites gives you cloud-grade hosting on Google Cloud with none of the WordPress to manage, and we make your changes for you.

Why pay InkySites rather than Kinsta or WP Engine?

Those prices are for hosting only. They don't include building your site, keeping WordPress and its plugins updated, or making changes. That's still your time or an agency's invoice. InkySites's $29 a month includes that work: we build your site, a person on our team looks it over, and we make your changes when you ask, within reason. Compare what it costs to get your site built and kept current, as well as the server.

Can I move to managed WordPress hosting later?

Yes. You own your domain and your site's code, and we send you your whole site's files whenever you ask. If you later decide you want to run WordPress on Kinsta or WP Engine, nothing stops you. There's no lock-in and no export fee. You'd be taking on the building and upkeep that we were doing for you.
