Wix's prices were read from wix.com/plans on 19 October 2026, as a visitor in the US sees it and as a visitor in India sees it. Its own note says the prices shown "are for yearly subscriptions, paid in full at the time of purchase", that "additional subscription periods are available", and that they "do not include applicable taxes". Who each one is right for.
Choose Wix if
You want creative control, you enjoy building and tweaking it yourself, starting fresh is fine, and you have the time to be your own webmaster. Wix's template library and app marketplace are genuinely strong for that.
Choose InkySites if
You have a site worth keeping, you don't want to learn a builder, and you'd rather we handled the changes. We redesign what you already have and run it for you, keeping it current, for a flat $29 a month.
Questions people ask.
Can InkySites import my Wix site?
We don't need to import it. We redesign from your live URL and host the new version. You stay on Wix until you point your domain at us; then your new site goes live and your old one goes quiet. We never touch your Wix account.
Is Wix cheaper than InkySites?
Wix's Light plan is cheaper, at $17 a month, and Core, the first plan that takes payments, is $29. Both are prices for a year paid up front, and Wix's pricing page does not show what paying month to month costs. InkySites is $29 a month, paid month to month. What separates them is the work: on Wix you build your site and make every change yourself, and with InkySites we make your changes.
What's the catch with Wix lock-in?
Wix doesn't let you export a working site. If you leave, you rebuild it somewhere else from scratch. With InkySites you own the code, and we hand you the files any time you ask, so you're never locked in.
Can Wix's AI helper make my changes for me?
Aria can help. It sits inside Wix's newer Harmony editor and can change pages, sections and layouts for you. Wix also connects to Claude, an AI assistant, so you can ask there for your site to be updated and published. Either way, you do the asking and you check the result. Wix's own help page says: "Always review Aria's suggestions or changes before finalizing your site." Aria works on the desktop view only, so you change the phone version by hand.
